Lunar Chickens is a truly Zimbabwean company owned 100% by TD Holdings a Group whose business interests are not only in poultry, but also in Horticulture, Livestock rearing, crop production, construction and the manufacture of feed.

Edwin Mushangwe holds B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics for Business and an M.B.A from the Middlesex Business School in London. He is a member of the Institute of Management and the Association of the MBA. A results-oriented, self-directed and mature IT and Operations professional with an exceptional ability to get the best of business constituents. He is highly experienced in manufacturing and the implementation of totally intergraded ERP systems and project management and has an ability to work with and relate to people at all organizational levels. Edwin started his career in the United Kingdom after completing his M.B.A in 1988 when he joined Radiall Ltd (Middlesex) London as MIS Manager, at Radiall he also held the positions of Operations Manager, IT Operations Manager and finally left Radiall in 2007 to return to Zimbabwe and joined Rustste Enterprises (Zimbabwe) as IT & Operations Director in 2009 and was promoted to Group CEO in November 2011.

Joseph has 38 years working experience in the poultry industry, he has worked for Charles Stewart Day Old Chicks, Irvine's Day Old chicks, Ross Breeders Zimbabwe, Hubbard Breeders Zimbabwe, Kiluvya Poultry Products in Tanzania. He holds certification in Broiler Breeder Management Training from the Southern African Poultry Association (SAPA), South Africa, and Ross Breeders UK Newbridge Scotland. In his career he has been responsible for the planning of placement programmes, daily farm production, vaccination and feed, feed mill and hatchery management, large scale labour force organization and compliance to the highest bio-security standards.

Robert has 36 years experience in the poultry industry. Starting as a Trainee Supervisor and then as Supervisor, Project Manager, Assistant Poultry Manager, Pedigree Manager, Breeder Manager, Production Manager (Glenara Estates), Broiler Parent Production Manager (Hubbard Zimbabwe) roles. Previously Robert has worked for Arbor Acres, Ziscosteel- Torwood Farm, F&G Sykes (now Sun Valley), Crest Breeders International and Ross Breeders Hubbard Zimbabwe. As the Breeder Manager at Ross Birds, Robert was responsible for four Broiler Parent sites with a total of 108,000 parents. As the Production Manager at Glenara Estates he oversaw the six parent sites with a capacity of 180,000 parents. A highlight of Robert's tenure at Glenara Estates Robert was implementing the program that transitioned the estates from broiler parents to broilers and an increased capacity of 360,000 broilers. He holds an Agricultural Diploma from Kukwanisa Agricultural College and a City and Guilds Advanced Certificate in Iron and Steel Operations and various management courses.

Wilfred Matavire is a qualified Artisan Class 1 (Fitting and Turning including Machining). He has worked as a Mantainence Manager for Dairibord Zimbabwe, Cairns Foods, Kohler Versapak, Nutresco Foods (Factory Manager), CP Feeds Malawi (Vita Foods (Factory Manager) IGL Mozambique Limited as a Projects Manager. He holds a certificate in Supervisory Management from the Zimbabwe Institute of Management and majored in maintainence during his artisanship. At Lunar Chickens he is the SDC for Slaughterland.

Ashley Selby is a highly motivated marketing professional with twenty years experience in the sales and marketing field. A graduate of the Cape Technikon, Ashley has brings unique insight, entrepreneurial flair and business acumen to the Sales and Marketing function at Lunar Chickens. Ashley has farmed in the Beatrice area rearing broilers and bull calves. Her work experience has seen her working at various leading companies including SSC & B Lintas, Seef Properties, Valhalla Chickens, Willowmead Junction, Amikol (Pvt) Ltd and Suncrest Chickens.

Cuthbert Chataika has been in the poultry industry since 1975. He made his debut as a foreman in charge of meat and layer breeders as well as commercial Layers at Charles Stewart Day Old Chicks, and has worked as Sections Manager from 1990 to 1998 at Crest Breeders International, before assuming the role of Production Manager in charger of the meat and layer breeder and commercial layer sections with Ross Breeders in 1998. In 2003, he assumed the position of Export Technical Manager/Contract Grower Manager with Hubbard Zimbabwe a position he held before joining Lunar Chickens as SDC for Eggland. Major Achievements in his career to date include amongst others, the transformation of Arbor Acres Great grandparents, Grandparents, Broiler parents and Layer parents site from multi age site into single age site and the transformation of Crest Breeders International integrated Broiler and Layer breeder site into separate production sites. He has also achieved world class Hubbard Parent production sites as well as the top position in the world of Ross Breeders. Cuthbert holds certificates in Poultry Keeping, Poultry Production for Senior Managers as well as management and Human Resources and he brings to Lunar Chickens a wealth of experience.

Barnabas Tafamombe has worked as a Hatchery Manager since 1979. He was Hatchery Manager for Charles Stewart from January 1979 to November 2000. From July 2001 to January 2003, he was GP Site Manager for Ross Breeders before becoming the Hatchery Manager for the company from January 2003 to July 2007. He joins Lunar Chickens from Biyinzika Enterprises Uganda where he worked again as Hatchery Manager from August 2007 to October 2010.

Ganizani Manyera has worked for various companies in various capacities within and outside Zimbabwe. He joined Ross Breeders Zimbabwe as a Production Clerk from March 1995 to May 1996, Broiler Breeders Supervisor from May 1996 to February 1998, Vaccination Supervisor from February 1998 to November 2000 and Hatchery Assistant Manager from November 2000 to January 2003. From July 2003 to October 2007, Ganizani was Hatchery Assistant Manager for Central Poultry 2000 (Ltd) in Malawi. He joins Lunar from Mozambique where he worked for Higest Mocambique, LDA as Hatchery Manager from October 2007 to November 2010.

Kizito Tinarwo holds a B.Commerce in Finance Degree from Zimbabwe Open U niversity and an Executive Certificate in Treasury Management from the University of Zimbabwe. He is currently studying ICSA International (CIS) and Executive Development Programme with the University of Zimbabwe. From 1999 to 2000 he worked for Standard Chartered Bank as clerk and teller. From 2001 to 2005, he worked for CFX Bank as Chief teller, Customer Services Officer and branch supervisor for CFX Gweru. He joins Lunar from Keylings Safety Footwear (Pvt) Ltd where he has been working as a Credit Controller from 2007

Karen Valerie holds a 1st level Intermediate Book-keeping certificate and a number of IT courses. She has worked in many different companies within and abroad. From 1987 to 2000, Karen was an Office Manager for Radiator Enterprises in Chinhoyi. In 2001 Karen joined Umboe Valley Syndicate where she worked in the Buying Office for farmers still in Chinhoyi. Karen worked for Country Harvest Restaurant and Galinya Butchery as a Manager from 2003 to 2007. From November 2008 to December 2009, she worked in the United Kingdom for Creative Support and Home Support Care in the Payroll Department. She joins Lunar from Miglio Designer Jewelry in South Africa where she worked in the finished goods department.
